Mental Outlook
Despite the endless debates, most healthcare
forward thinkers find it virtually impossible to discount the
importance of the mind in the healing process, as well as its
importance in our overall health. Whether clinically
depressed or just indulging in negative mental activities like
self-loathing, jealousy, pessimism or gossiping, our mental
disposition has an enormous impact on our health. Our mental
health is not easily understood, nor is it easily mastered. If
you find yourself suffering from a difficult mental or emotional
state, take action steps to address it. Don’t just sit back and
do nothing. Whether you seek help from a professional or support
group, read self-help books or just make adjustments to your
perception, seek out solutions. A positive state of mind helps
keep our immune system robust and helps our body ward off
disease. A positive state of mind makes it easier to maintain
the keys to optimal health. Stay Happy! |
Medications to combat "stress" or
"anxiety" are the most over-prescribed in our society.
There is no quick fix for our problems. Many
mental issues are the result of a convoluted perception
of a situation – of how we want things to be. Many
believe they need meds to cope, but they are dangerously
shutting off emotional responses. |
