HEALTHY CHOICES BEGIN WITH HEALTHY THOUGHTS. As you prepare for the holidays, think about what you can do to enjoy fitness and nutritious foods.

TURN TO EXERCISE – NOT TO FOOD! When overwhelmed and stressed, we tend to eat more and sleep less. Consciously choose exercise to reduce stress.

BE A HEALTHY HOSTESS! People will eat what you serve. Offer healthy foods. Stay away from sugary desserts. Set out colorful fruits & veggies.

PLAN SIMPLE MENUS. Offer an entree, side dish, vegetable and fruit. The less there is to choose from, the less you’ll eat.

NEVER GO HUNGRY! Drink your E7 and eat a regular meal before going to a party.

SAVOR YOUR FAVORITES AND SKIP THE REST! Limit extras to prevent weight gain. If the food item is not absolutely “to die for” wonderful, why eat it?

MOVE AWAY FROM THE FOOD TABLE! Do not set yourself up for failure by tempting yourself to “stand-pick-and-eat.”

TALK A LOT & LISTEN EVEN MORE! The more you talk and listen, the less you eat. The party may be all about food, but you can be all about socializing. Make eating secondary.
