Broccoli
May Reduce the Risk of Heart Attack
Raw, steamed or lightly cooked broccoli can protect the heart
against damage and help it function properly. Broccoli that is
cooked too long loses much of its antioxidant protection.Broccoli
increases the body's production of antioxidants. Antioxidants help
remove free radicals which can lead to cancer, heart disease and other
age-related illnesses.
Other vegetables, such as Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, and
radishes are also rich in antioxidants and may also help prevent cancer
and heart disease. |
