Nutritional
Deficiencies
In our fast-paced world, eating the right diet can be a challenge.
But, as many as 16% of Americans have a poor diet and 74% need to
improve their diet. Americans' poor diet can be directly linked to our
cancer, diabetes, heart disease and stroke that is prevalent in the
United States.
A poor diet is only one of the reasons for these nutritional
deficient bodies. Nutrients in foods have been on the decline
since 1909. The soil does not have as many nutrients as it did.
And, processed foods have many of the nutrients that the food does
contain removed. So, even if you do eat healthy foods, you still
are not getting as many nutrients as you would have in the past. Most
people don't know that they have a deficiency until your doctor possibly
figures out the symptoms.
Commonly deficient nutrients include: calcium, chromium,
essential fatty acids, fiber, folic acid, iron, phosphorus, vitamin B,
vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, and zinc. |
